The Tennoji/Abeno area is Osaka's third busiest shopping district after Kita and Minami, and offers excellent access to Nara and Wakayama. With lines such as the JR Line, Osaka Metro, Kintetsu Line, and Hankai Line running through the area, and numerous commercial facilities lined up, it's a bustling area with many people coming and going every day. Abeno Harukas, standing out among the many other buildings, is the second tallest building in Japan, standing at 300 meters, and is widely known as a landmark representing Osaka.

Abeno Harukas opened in 2014 as a station building directly connected to Kintetsu Osaka Abenobashi Station. It is a complex building that houses a department store, art museum, offices, and more. In recent years, the number of visitors has increased dramatically, especially with the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel located within the building and the opening of a number of Hotels in the surrounding area. The cumulative number of visitors is expected to exceed 400 million as of March 2025.

Among the many attractions at Abeno Harukas, one of the most popular is the observation deck, Harukas 300, located on the 58th to 60th floors. After purchasing your ticket on the 16th floor where the art museum is located, you can board the elevator that goes directly to the observation deck, which will take you up a height of approximately 220 meters in about 45 seconds to the 60th floor.

The 60th floor, named "Tenjo Kairo," has glass walls, offering a panoramic view of the Osaka Plain, Kyoto, Nara, and Wakayama below. There is also a corner on the west side where the floor is also glass, allowing you to fully enjoy the feeling of being about 300 meters above ground. Various events, such as projection mapping and anime collaboration events, are also held regularly.

After enjoying the view from the 60th floor, follow the route to the 58th floor. This floor, named "Sky Garden," is an outdoor plaza with an open atrium that extends all the way up to the 60th floor, creating a wonderfully spacious feel. The wooden deck is lined with plants, creating a relaxing space. You can also enjoy the spectacular view while savoring food and drinks purchased at the attached indoor cafe restaurant, "SKY GARDEN 300." Also, on the 59th floor, which is the "go-home floor," souvenirs such as sweets and miscellaneous goods are sold.

Harukas 300 has now become one of Osaka's famous spots, attracting many visitors. Be sure to enjoy the spectacular view from the highest point among the many observation spots in Osaka.
