The Entrepreneurial Museum of Challenge and Innovation

A unique museum that introduces the life and achievements of 105 Osaka-based entrepreneurs through the exhibitions of their memorabilia and other personal items.

This museum introduces the life and achievements of 105 Osaka-based entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneurial Museum of Challenge and Innovation (EMCI) was established in the basement of the Business Innovation Center Osaka, by the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in June 2001. The EMCI allows visitors to feel the entrepreneurs' lofty ambition, courage and wisdom, with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and developing human resources who will lead the next generation, thereby helping create a vigorous society. The exhibition is divided into three sections arranged by historical era: The Birth of Modern Industrial City Osaka―Building an Industrial Foundation-/ -The Formation of Mass Society―The Opening of the Consuming Society; Creation of the Abundant Society―From Reconstruction to Prosperity. Each section introduces leading successful entrepreneurs of the respective era through panel displays and video presentations.
