EXPO '70 Commemorative Park is popular as a good place to view cherry blossoms in the Kansai area every year. It is crowded day and night because cherry blossoms at night are just as beautiful. About half of the approximate 5,500 trees, a stunning number, are Somei-yoshino Cherry. In addition, there is a diverse variety of eye-pleasing cherry blossoms, including bright vermilion examples. Events such as the chinaware market from all over Japan are held at the same time.
