What is fruit picking?
Did you know that in Japan there is an activity called "fruit picking" where you can pick your own seasonal fruits and eat as much as you like for an affordable price?
Here in the Osaka area, there are many fruit picking spots where you can enjoy a few hours to half a day.
Between sightseeing or on the way from the hotel to the airport,

Japanese strawberries have evolved to become even more delicious through repeated breeding. Various brand-name strawberries are grown in Osaka as well. Strawberry picking is very popular among Japanese people, and recently, there has been an increase in farms where you can compare different varieties and enjoy sweets and toppings with strawberries.

Unshu mikan, grown in the southern part of Osaka, which has a warm climate, is known for its rich flavor. It is called different names depending on the time of harvest, from autumn to winter, and you can enjoy different flavors depending on the time of year.

Grape cultivation is thriving in Osaka, where many varieties are cultivated, and the famous seedless grape "Delaware" boasts one of the highest yields in Japan. Grapes grown in the warm climate and unique soil of southern Osaka are said to be sweeter than those from other growing regions.

Here we will introduce the general process of all-you-can-eat fruit picking.
Each farm has different rules and fee systems, so please check the details on-site.

Point
Seven points to keep in mind

clothing
On the day, wear clothes that are easy to move in and don't mind getting dirty.
Also, avoid shoes with thick soles or high heels.

Advance reservation
Although it's not guaranteed, it's best to check with the farm beforehand. Most popular strawberry picking spots require reservations.

all you can eat
Please only pick as much as you can eat. Any leftovers will be sold by weight to take home. Also, even though it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, it is prohibited to throw away uneaten fruit or intentionally damage the fruit.

Time Limit
Some places have time limits for fruit picking, such as 30 minutes or 1 hour. Make sure to stick to the time and enjoy your fruit.

Payment Method
Many fruit-picking farms accept cash, so be sure to have Japanese yen ready beforehand.

Fruit is high in water content, so eating a lot of it can make you want to go to the toilet. Depending on the farm, toilets may be limited or non-existent, so be sure to go to the toilet beforehand.

Garbage and food scraps
Please dispose of any waste such as peels, stems, and seeds from fruit you have eaten in the designated areas.
