Ryugado Cave

One of Japan's three largest limestone caves, with a history of 175 million years
You can easily experience the cave where you grew up.
The total length is 4km, of which about 1km is open to the public.
You can enjoy the natural formations of various stalactites, including the giant 11-meter-tall stone pillar "Amokoseki."
It is also located in the remains of a Yayoi period cave dwelling, which is rare worldwide.
The "God's Pot" and other artifacts are also highly valued as cultural assets.

Yayoi pottery placed at the water source is covered with a film of calcite precipitated from the groundwater. This gives us a glimpse into the lives of the Yayoi people who lived near the exit about 2,000 years ago. This is a valuable archaeological document.
