Cape Tamana

Located in the northwest of Okinoerabu Island, the cape jutting out into the East China Sea is a sheer cliff 51 meters high.
It was designated as Amami Gunto National Park in March 2017. It is one of the most scenic spots on the island and is one of the top ten scenic spots in Amami. It was also the filming location for the movie "Ao Genki."

Ujijihama Park

A row of cap-shaped deformed structures, like natural sculptures created by wave erosion, stand here, and the sunrise seen from here is a spectacular sight. A sailing ship-shaped monument has been erected to commemorate the islanders' rescue of the crew of a Canadian merchant ship (the Touroop) that ran aground on this beach in 1890.

Jikkyonuho

Jikkyonuho was used as a precious water source and a place for community interaction until the waterworks were developed. It is one of the 100 famous waters of the Heisei era.

Japan's No. 1 Gajumaru

This large, branch-spreading Gajumaru tree was planted in the schoolyard of Kunigami Elementary School by the first graduating class and is one of Japan's New 100 Famous Trees. It is a designated natural monument of Wadomari Town.
