Pacific Coast
Bike Path
This is a 1,487-km long bicycle path that starts from Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture,
and runs along the Pacific coast of Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Aichi, and Mie Prefectures to Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture.
Along the route, there are many World Heritage sites such as Mt,
Fuji, as well as Japan's prominent tourist destinations and scenic spots,
and offers a variety of seasonal experiences throughout the year.

"Inubosaki" (Chiba Prefecture)
A cape jutting out into the Pacific Ocean, this plateau is surrounded by the sea for about 500 meters around. It is characterized by the white sand Kimigahama Beach and the strange-looking huge rocks that stretch to the south. At the tip stands the white Inubosaki Lighthouse, Japan's first structure built with Japanese-made bricks. With the exception of mountain peaks and remote islands, this is the earliest place in Japan to greet the first sunrise of the new year. This place is surrounded by water and a beautiful landscape where nature and history are in harmony.

"Shonan Kaigan"

Shonan Kaigan Park is a seaside park stretching from Katase Kaigan to Kugenuma Kaigan. It is an ideal spot for strolling while feeling the sea breeze and enjoying the panoramic view of Enoshima Island and Mt.Fuji. The park has various areas such as the "Sea Breeze Terrace," "Lawn Square," and "Boardwalk," and is also used as a base for beach sports.

"Bentenjima Seaside Park"

Bentenjima Seaside Park is a seaside park where you can take a leisurely walk under the palm trees for 500 meters from east to west. It is only a 3-minute walk from Bentenjima Station, the gateway to the park, and offers a spectacular view of Lake Hamana with its 18-meter-high red torii gate standing on the lake, blue sea, and clear water. The rich fishing grounds, where the variety of fish changes with the seasons, are also very popular among anglers.

"Irakomisaki Lighthouse"

Located at the southern tip of Aichi Prefecture, at the very tip of the Atsumi Peninsula, the Irakomisaki Lighthouse plays an important role as a landmark for many ships navigating the Irago Channel. Its dignified appearance, which commands a spectacular view stretching from the Pacific Ocean to Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay, has earned it a place among the 50 Best Lighthouses in Japan. The beautiful contrast between the blue sea and the white lighthouse creates a romantic mood at sunset, and the area has been selected as a holy place for couples.

The two rocks (male and female), called "husband and wife rocks," are tightly connected by a large sacred rope and serve as a torii (gateway) for worshipping the deity Okitamashinseki (spiritual stone) and Hinokami (the sun). From May to July, the sun rises between the two rocks, and from November to January, during the full moon, the moon can be seen rising between the two rocks.

World Heritage Site "Nachi Falls"

Nachi-no-Taki Falls, where several streams overlap with the main stream flowing out of Mt.Okumotoriyama. The water column has a drop of 133 meters, the choshi outlet is 13 meters wide, and the waterfall basin is 10 meters deep, making it the most famous waterfall in Japan in terms of drop. It is also one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan, and has the name "San-suji-no-taki" (three-suji waterfall) because there are three breaks in the bedrock and the water begins to fall in three stripes.
