The Ebisu festival is held over two days, with the festival eve celebration being held on January 6th, and the main festival on the 7th. Ebisu is the patron god of sailors and all those who work on the sea, as well as a god of wealth and prosperity. Ebisu is also widely revered as one of the beloved seven lucky gods. The Ebisu at this shrine is Okuninushi-no-Mikoto's child, Kotoshironushi-no-Mikoto, transferred from Miho Shrine in Shimane prefecture.
