The talent of the artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), representing Art Nouveau, blossomed in Paris in the fin-de-siècle period at the close of the 19th century. His originality, led to it becoming known as the eponymous “Mucha Style”, became a trend in the contemporary Paris of the day, giving rise to large numbers of followers and imitations. This special exhibition, held in the 80th year commemorating his death, introduces approx. 130 pieces, focusing on his representative decorated panels made in Paris. Also on display are jewelry and glass works of René Lalique (1860-1945) who was active around the same time.
