Plum Festival at the Expo’70 Commemorative Park 0

For about a month, visitors can enjoy various types of plum blossoms, from early bloomers to late bloomers, in the Natural and Cultural Gardens, and the Japanese Garden.

At the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, the plum orchard in the Natural and Cultural Gardens has approx. 600 plum trees of 120 types, while the plum orchard in the Japanese Garden has approx. 80 plum trees of 40 types.
Visitors may enjoy various types of plum blossoms, from early bloomers to late bloomers.Plum festival time is busy with plum-related events including a stamp collection rally, workshops, tea ceremony and a miniature plum exhibit at the Senrian teahouse in the Japanese Garden, rakugo on the theme of plums, mini-concerts by artists, and plum sweets, plum wines and plum drinks!
 Visitors are encouraged to fully appreciate plums.
