Ichioka Shrine
With the god of knowledge enshrined here, Ichioka Shrine is very popular with students praying for academic success.
Known historically as "Gion-san," Ichioka's main enshrined deities are Tatehayasusa-no-Mikoto, Inadahime-no-Mikoto, and Hachioji-no-Mikoto. The remains of Kaieji Temple on the grounds date back roughly 1,300 year and, set up like a monastery with a Horyuji style, it has been designated a national historic landmark.
