Osaka Prefectural Central Library
Osaka Prefectural Central Library which owns the most collection of books in Osaka was opened in Higashi Osaka city in 1996.There is a wide range of fields from general books to academic books and also the internet space and a video corner at library. A story-telling and Art and craft, Origami class is taken place at "Children's Library" that collects children's books, magazines and kamishibai (picture card show).The "International Children's Literature" from Expo'70 Commeorative Park has transferred to this library and an article for children is more provided since then.In addition, there is a "face-to-face reading room" where the visually impaired persons can receive the service such as face-to-face reading and the text-to-speech software.Also there is a multi-purpose hall for events, seminars and concerts and there is a café and a roof garden to refresh.
