The Tenma Tenjin Ebisu-sai Festival began in 2007. More people join in every year, and we now have about 200,000 participants. At the Tenma Tenjin Ebisu-sai Festival, we give out a number of lucky charms, including Shinrei, Fukuzasa lucky bamboo, Kicho, Kumade rakes, and bamboo fans. It's also possible to receive an Omiki Ebisu (smiling drinking Ebisu) prayer board with bamboo attached as a good luck charm. We believe the distribution of Omiki Ebisu prayer boards is one thing that makes the Tenma Tenjin's Ebisu-sai Festival unique.During the Edo period, Osaka Temmangu's Ebisu-related rituals took place on the 10th of January, May, and September.
