Rinku Town is adjacent to Kansai International Airport, which serves as the gateway to the world for numerous travelers. Following establishment of the airport, Rinku Town was developed in 1994 as a "city for creative living," incorporating a variety of factors, such as housing, eating, learning, shopping, and amusement. The total area is 320 ha, extending over two cities and one town (Izumisano City, Tajiri Town and Sennan City). Rinku Town features the Rinku Gate Tower Building, incorporating a popular hotel and restaurants; the Rinku Premium Outlets, where luxurious fashion/interior items are available at reasonable prices; the Ion Mall Rinku Sennan, with over 160 shops for foods, clothes, and living necessities; Rinku Park, perfect for strolling; and two swimming beaches, Southern Beach and Marble Beach.
