Takihata Dam's Oshidori(birds) is one of the eight views of Shin-Kawachinagano. You can enjoy taking a walk around Dam lake which is full of green.

Takihata dam which was built in Showa era 57years (1982) of March is for flood management policy of class A river of Ymato river system of Ishikawa's upper reach of cultivated land, and agricultural water. This dam is a multipurpose dam to support to waterworks for people who is living such as Habikino, Fujiidera, Kawachinagano, and Tondabayashi. Full of greenery the circum ference has been developed a campsite, promenade, a fishing pond, and restaurant as a resort village. Artificial lake which was born by dam has been comig flying of many bird of passages every year. Especially, mandarin ducks stop here and show us a graceful figure from late in October to next year of early in march every year. It's one of the Kawachinagano's eight picturesque sights as "Oshidori of Takihata Dam". Also there is Buddha figure carved on a rock face near the cliff on the north side in the lower reaches of damsite. In the end of the Taisho period, the late Natsume Shokichi who used to live g in Kawachinagano city is the only one person who dig it by himself. There is a Ksitigarbha next to Kanon.
