Kuromon Market
Kuromon Market in Nipponbashi is a historic market that has been around since the late Edo period. Its name is said to originate from the black gate of Enmyoji Temple, which was once located nearby.
The approximately 580-meter-long arcade is lined with about 150 shops selling fresh fish, produce, fruits, processed foods, and restaurants. Once a hub for chefs' supplies, it has now become a popular market where people from both Japan and abroad can easily enjoy sushi, seafood bowls, grilled dishes, and seasonal fruits. In the summer, it's recommended to visit in the morning to enjoy strolling and shopping under the arcade.

Tsuruhashi Market, Osaka
Osaka Tsuruhashi Market is located around Tsuruhashi Station, served by JR, Kintetsu, and Osaka Metro. Spanning three wards—Tennoji, Higashinari, and Ikuno—it consists of six markets, shopping streets, and approximately 800 shops.
Along the narrow alleys, you'll find a variety of shops, including yakiniku restaurants, Korean food stores, and specialty shops selling fresh fish, dried goods, fruits and vegetables, and daily necessities. Originating from a market established shortly after the end of World War II, it still boasts a charming blend of retro streetscapes and diverse international food culture. With many covered walkways, it's a great place to stroll through the lively market and enjoy delicious food from morning until midday during the summer.

Osaka Kizu Wholesale Market
With a history spanning over 300 years, the Osaka Kizu Wholesale Market is a private, local wholesale market handling seafood, fruits and vegetables, processed foods, and more. It is known as a market where many chefs, including those working in restaurants in Osaka's Minami district, come to purchase their ingredients.
Within the market, there are restaurants open to the general public where you can enjoy fresh seafood and a market-style breakfast. The "Kizu Morning Market" is held on the second and last Saturdays of every month. In addition to selling ingredients, there are sometimes auction experiences. Near the market, there is a hot spring facility with an open-air bath, so you can refresh yourself by washing away the sweat after enjoying the morning market.
