This simple hot spring is clear and colorless, with no odour. The average temperature is as high as 63 degrees Celsius, warming the body gradually. It is the first hot spring recreation center in Japan that can also be expected to beautify the skin. It has a long history, as described in the Izu Fudoki (713). It is said that Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu used this hot spring with his family, and it spread to all the feudal lords in Japan.
