Tower of the Sun
The Tower of the Sun was designed by artist Taro Okamoto and erected as a theme pavilion in the symbol zone of the Osaka Expo, held in 1970. After the Osaka Expo ended, the interior was closed to the public in principle, but has since been restored and reopened to the public in 2018.

Expo '70 Pavilion
It opened on March 13, 2010 (Heisei 22) as a memorial museum for the 1970 World Exposition (Osaka Expo), utilizing the Steel Pavilion, which was an exhibition facility at the time. From Friday, August 11, 2023 (national holiday), an annex will be added to the EXPO'70 Pavilion, and in addition to the existing permanent exhibits, new exhibits will be open to the public, including an exhibit of the "Golden Face" that was installed at the top of the Tower of the Sun during the Osaka Expo, and a zone where visitors can experience the time through video.
