Tower of the Sun

The Tower of the Sun was designed by artist Taro Okamoto and erected as a theme pavilion in the symbol zone of the Osaka Expo, held in 1970. After the Osaka Expo ended, the interior was closed to the public in principle, but has since been restored and reopened to the public in 2018.

Facility usage fee: Admission to the Tower of the Sun only (*In principle, a separate admission fee for both the Natural and Cultural Gardens and the Japanese Garden is required) Adults: 720 yen, elementary and junior high school students: 310 yen. Set ticket for admission to the Tower of the Sun + Natural and Cultural Gardens and the Japanese Garden: Adults: 930 yen, elementary and junior high school students: 380 yen. Full exemption for those with a disability certificate

Transportation routes for wheelchair users: There is an elevator in front of the ticket gate. *There is also a slope, but it is steep, so we recommend using the elevator.

How to make a reservation: Reservations can be made up to the day before the reservation date on the Tower of the Sun official website.

Priority Parking: Reservations are not possible.
