On June 24th, the Suma Universal Beach Project, which has been active in the oceans across Japan for many years,
Representative Shunsuke Kido gave a lecture on the history and purpose of Universal Beach.

 

 

The Suma Universal Beach Project has 144 member organizations and a total of 456 users.
It spans all 47 prefectures.

 

 

The purpose of the project is for participants to challenge the ocean and "unleash their raw emotions!"
In order to ensure that participants have a great time, we thoroughly listen to what they want in advance,
The results were compiled as a survey.
Depending on the participant's condition, it may be difficult for them to enter the water, so it is important to know this in advance.

 

 

Other points that were raised included:
It is important to interview fishermen who are familiar with the sea you plan to enter.
Supporters are not caregivers, so it is important to be aware that they do not provide assistance but rather support through objects.
Verbalize each action (for example, "I'm going to lift it up" or "There are steps, so please be careful")
