Ibaraki Shrine is has long been revered by the common people of the area as a shrine housing the region's tutelary deity.Particularly well-loved during Toyotomi's lifetime, donations were often made by the lords of Ibaraki Castle. During Tokugawa's lifetime, daimyo lords and the lords of Osaka Castle continued to show reverence to the shrine, regularly participating in Ibaraki Shrine's festival.
