Located in the heart of Kansai Science City (Gakkentoshi), the Keihanna Plaza provides facilities for exchange. It has study rooms, halls, and conference rooms for rent, and also sponsors a variety of events to encourage exchange between Science City researchers and residents. A multifunctional space that can host everything from conventions and concerts to theatrical performances, the main hall has a capacity of 1,000 and boasts a complete array of facilities, including state-of-the-art audio and lighting systems, a simultaneous interpreter’s booth, a projection booth, and more. The event hall is a 770m² space that can be divided in two. Furthermore, there are a number of small, medium-sized, and larger conference rooms. The area around Keihanna Plaza is dotted with hotels, restaurants, and corporate research facilities, including laboratories for scientific and digital experimentation.
