Kitamura

Basic information
Kitamura prides itself in its Kansai-style sukiyaki (which does not use warishita, a sauce for boiling the ingredients) and has been one of Osaka's favorite sukiyaki restaurants since its establishment in 1881. Only carefully selected domestic beef, full of flavor and sweetness, is used. In addition to sukiyaki, there are other dishes such as mizudaki (boiled beef slices) and batayaki (beef sautéed in butter), served in a tranquil sukiya-style interior that makes the restaurant suitable for business occasions as well. Kitamura also has horigotatsu seating (area underneath the table is sunken) and cordially invites overseas guests to sample traditional Kitamura sukiyaki. *Please consult the restaurant beforehand for accommodation of children, lower grades of elementary school or younger.
