Morinomiya Piloti Hall

This multipurpose hall was built using a pilotis (raised floor) method with special beams, which is rare in Japan, in order to preserve the remains and artifacts of the Morinomiya ruins.

Located to the east of the former Nissei Baseball Stadium, Morinomiya Piloti Hall was built in 1979 using a piloti (raised floor) system with special beams, a rare feature in Japan, to preserve the remains and artifacts of the Morinomiya Ruins (from the Jomon and Yayoi periods to the early Edo period) excavated on the site. Renovations were completed in 2010, incorporating the latest equipment. The hall seats 1,030 and can be used for a wide range of events, including concerts, plays, dance, lectures, film screenings, and union meetings. The multipurpose hall's walls are covered with 16-meter mirrors, making it suitable for use as a rehearsal facility for dance, musicals, plays, and stage productions. The surrounding area is dotted with tourist attractions, including Osaka Castle Park and Tamatsukuri Shrine.
