Osaka Museum of Natural History

You can learn about Osaka's nature, the evolution of living things, and the history of life on Earth.

Located in a corner of Nagai Park, the museum focuses on nature, with themes such as "Nature around us," "The history of the Earth and life," "The evolution of life," and "The blessings of nature."
The museum has five permanent exhibits titled "Life of Living Creatures."
It has a variety of valuable collections, including dinosaur skeletons and other specimens of flora and fauna from around the world, focusing on the nature of Osaka.
The uniqueness of its activities is known nationwide.
The life-size reconstruction model of a Naumann's elephant and the skeletal specimens of three whales, including a fin whale, are particularly impressive.
There are also exhibits where you can learn about the lives of living things in a fun way through games and videos.
Other highlights include special exhibitions based on the curators' research activities and an original museum shop.
They also actively participate in outdoor activities such as nature observation meetings.
