Satsukiyama Park
A famous spot for cherry blossoms, azaleas, and autumn leaves, it has eight hiking trails and four observation decks, and is a great place to view the Osaka Plain, making it one of the "100 Best Green Spots in Osaka."
Spreading from the foot to the middle of Mount Satsuki (315.3m above sea level), the symbol of Ikeda City, this is a famous spot for cherry blossoms, azaleas, and autumn leaves. Eight hiking trails and four observation decks make it a great place to view the Osaka Plain, and it has been selected as one of the "100 Best Green Spots in Osaka." The park also houses a zoo, an urban greening botanical garden, a green center, and many other facilities, attracting many people to enjoy leisure activities. Satsukiyama Zoo, in particular, is popular because, despite its free admission, visitors can interact with rare Australian animals like wombats and wallabies. In summer, it is one of the venues for the "Gangara Fire Festival," which has been held since the Edo period.
