Sonezaki Ohatsutenjin-dori Shopping Street
As an approach to Tsuyuno Tenjinsha Shrine, where the famous "Sonezaki Shinju (Love Suicide in Sonezaki)" took place. this shopping street has about 100 shops and restaurants of various sizes and serves as an arcade with friendly atmosphere in Umeda area in the Kita district of Osaka.
Sonezaki Ohatsutenjin-dori Shotengai is a shopping street on the approach to Tsuyuno Tenjinsha Shrine (also commonly known as Ohatsu Tenjin Shrine), where the famous "Sonezaki Shinju (Love Suicide in Sonezaki)" took place. Along the street there are about 100 shops and restaurants of various sizes to attract customers night and day--not only visitors to the Ohatsu Tenjin Shrine but also businesspeople and office workers in and around Umeda who come to this place for lunch. Today the arcade is deeply rooted in Umeda, the north center of Osaka City, as one of the shopping streets with history and friendly atmosphere.
