Statue of Sanada Yukimura

A statue of Sanada Yukimura, a warrior on the Toyotomi side during the Winter Siege of Osaka, stands in the grounds of Sanko Shrine.
A bronze statue of Yukimura stands bravely in the grounds of Sanko Shrine. It was erected in 1987, and its base is said to be made of Sanada stone taken from the Sanada family temple in Ueda, Shinshu. Next to it is Sanada no Nukeana, an underground passageway leading to the castle town that is said to have been built by Yukimura.
