NAMBA What's Up?

"NAMBA Nan-nan" in Namba 5-chome, Chuo Ward, Osaka—known as a pioneer of Osaka’s underground shopping arcades in the Minami district.Coinciding with the opening of the adjacent “Namba Marui,” the complex underwent its second full-scale renovation since 1974. Its concept shifted from a “subway mall” to a “station-adjacent” destination where people want to stop by every day. All 69 tenant stores have been reorganized into three zones: “Yosoo” for fashion and miscellaneous goods,“Yorozu” (cosmetics and pharmaceuticals), and “Shoku” (dining). In the center, devices that diffuse seasonal scents have been installed on the ceiling and elsewhere, transforming the space into a more comfortable underground shopping district.
