TeamLab, known for its digital art that makes full use of the latest technology, has opened a permanent nighttime exhibition at Nagai Botanical Garden! Spanning
approximately 240,000 square meters, the garden is home to about 1,200 species of plants, with flowers and trees changing with the seasons.
At “teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka,” the space—which functions as a botanical garden by day—transforms into an art space at night. This art space is influenced by the breeze and rain blowing through nature,as well as the behavior of the birds and people visiting the site, transforming visitors into an integral part of the artwork alongside nature—and into a part of the passage of time. As a result, the artwork, people, and nature—as well as the self and others, the past, present, and future—flow together seamlessly without boundaries. It transforms into an art space where the past, present, and
future intersect, changing interactively in response to the behavior of nature and the presence of people.
