"HEP FIVE" is a mixed-use commercial complex located in the heart of Umeda, Osaka. The massive, bright-red Ferris wheel—75 meters in diameter—which seems to jut out from the top of the building, serves as the complex’s iconic symbol.The boarding area is on the 7th floor, and the gondolas rise through the rooftop to a height of 106 meters above ground, offering panoramic views not only of downtown Osaka but also, on clear days, all the way to the Akashi Strait.Music plays inside each of the 52 four-person gondolas, which are fully air-conditioned and heated. A full rotation takes about 15 minutes. At night, the Ferris wheel is illuminated by computer-controlled floodlights.
