Pichi-Pichi Beach (Hakotsukuri Beach)

Located in southern Osaka Prefecture, it’s about a 15-minute walk from Hakotsukuri Station on the Nankai Main Line. Affectionately known as “Pichi Pichi Beach,” Hakotsukuri Beach is an artificial beach renowned for its beautiful blue sea and white sandy shore. On clear days, you can see Awaji Island, Kansai International Airport, and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.Although the beach is about 700 meters long and 80 meters wide, it features barbecue areas, beach volleyball courts, beach huts, and shower facilities, attracting many families and groups every year.In early August, the “All-Japan Junior Men’s Beach Volleyball Championship”—the national tournament for high school boys—is held here, featuring intense matches between high school boys from across the country.
