Centered around Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, Namba Walk is a 715-meter-long shopping street
stretching from Nihonbashi Station on the Sakaisuji Line at its eastern end to Namba Station on the Yotsubashi Line in the west. The area, consisting of two walkways—North Avenue and South Avenue
—is broadly divided into three zones.Five plazas,
including “Kujira Park” and “Forest Park,” serve as “gathering spaces” featuring symbolic monuments, where
seasonal events are held.
In “Art Park” on 1st Street, the Chicago Gallery displays ceramic panel reproductions of works from the Art Institute of Chicago’s collection, delighting the
eyes of passersby.
