This is a free visitor center where you can learn about the value and appeal of the World Heritage Site “Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group.” In the theater, you can experience the various shapes of the kofun—which are invisible
from the ground—through ultra-high-definition projection mapping using aerial footage.
The exhibition area features introductory displays on the value of this World Heritage site and the appeal of the tumulus cluster. On display are sand from Wadi Rum—which was used in the Jordan Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai World Expo—as well as a model of Emperor Nintoku’s Tomb and a life-size model of a cylindrical haniwa (clay figure) created by Osaka University’s LEGO Club.
The gift shop sells kofun-themed snacks, stationery, and miscellaneous goods, as well as local specialties from Sakai.
