Enjoy the view from the castle tower while feeling the romance of history

The building is a history museum, showcasing Osaka Castle in detail through valuable documents and dioramas. From the observation deck on the 8th floor, 50 meters above ground, you can see the city of Osaka. There is also a corner where you can try on helmets and battle robes.

2. Special Opening of the Inui, Senkan, and Tamon Turrets (Important Cultural Properties) in the Nishinomaru Garden of Osaka Castle

A rare opportunity to see the oldest structure in Osaka Castle!

In addition to the Tamon-yagura and Sengan-yagura, which are designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan, the Inui-yagura, which is currently closed to the public, will be open to the public. The unusual L-shaped Inui-yagura was designed by Kobori Enshu and offers a panoramic view of the northwest side of the castle.

This historic building, originally built in 1931 as the headquarters of the Imperial Japanese Army's No. 4 Ammunition Division, has been renovated into a complex that includes souvenir shops, a museum, a coffee shop, and gourmet restaurants such as takoyaki and Italian cuisine. The rooftop restaurant offers a spectacular view of the castle tower, where you can enjoy barbecues.

Enjoy a rare Noh experience at a Noh theater with nearly 100 years of history!

Inside this otherworldly building, you can enjoy explanations of Noh and various experiences (chanting, sliding steps, trying on costumes, etc.), as well as a tour that takes you behind the scenes. It is also used as a "special hospitality space" for important people from Japan and abroad. You can also enjoy watching full-scale Noh, including mini Noh performances that can be planned to suit your budget.

The museum regularly exhibits around 30 Kamigata ukiyo-e prints, focusing on actors such as Nakamura Utaemon III and Kataoka Nizaemon VII, with themes changing every three months. There are also classes where you can experience the "printing" process of ukiyo-e production (reservations required).

    Osaka National Treasure Three Kannon Temples Pilgrimage (only on April 17th and 18th, 2026)

    Minamikawachi is one of the areas in Japan with the largest concentration of national treasures, and is home to three temples, Katsuragi-ji Temple, Domyo-ji Temple, and Kanshin-ji Temple, which enshrines the national treasure Kannon Bodhisattva as their principal image.
    In 2026, in addition to the usual date of April 18th, the principal images of all three temples will be opened to the public on the day before, April 17th, and this will mark the creation of the "Osaka National Treasure Three Kannon Pilgrimage."
