    A famous castle that symbolizes Osaka
    The current castle tower is the third in its series, following those from the Toyotomi and Tokugawa periods, and is a symbol of Osaka that was rebuilt in 1931 with donations from the citizens of Osaka.
    With a history spanning over 90 years, it was designated as a nationally registered tangible cultural property in 1997 and as a tangible cultural property designated by Osaka City in 2025.

    Senpukan

    Senpukukan was built as a reception hall for the Japan Mint, which was founded in 1871. It is the oldest surviving Western-style building in Osaka, and was named "Senpukukan," meaning "House of Currency," when Emperor Meiji visited in 1872. The emperor also visited in 1877 and 1878, and the building has welcomed many important people from Japan and abroad, and was designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 1956.
