Next, you will be given a private room at Mochizuki Ichimi-an, a long-established Japanese restaurant, where you will enjoy a lecture on how to use Japanese knives from the head chef and savor some of their specialty dishes. This is a special experience that will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese knives.

Choose the color, material, and border (a unique Sakai burial mound motif) and pattern to create your own mini tatami mat.
    The finished size is 18 x 25 cm.

    Wazarashi, a traditional local industry that has been produced in large quantities along the Ishizu River, which has abundant water, since the early Edo period, is a bleached cotton fabric made by removing impurities. The fabric is boiled and bleached in a large cauldron for approximately 28 hours. At Kadono Sarashi Dyeing, the entire process from bleaching to dyeing and final product is carried out, and you can observe the careful and reliable manufacturing process. You can also experience the "Sekka Tie Dye" method using Wazarashi, and create an original tenugui hand towel that you can take home as a souvenir.
