Ama site park
A large archaeological park with an area the size of five Koshien Stadiums
The site of a large settlement from the early Yayoi period has been turned into a park. The site also includes an exhibition hall that provides an easy-to-understand and entertaining introduction to life at that time.
Basic information
公園内には、おしゃれなカフェやレストラン、子どもが思いっきり遊ぶことができる大型遊具などがあり、いろんな方がゆったりと過ごせる憩いの場となっています。公園がある地域は、約2500年前（弥生時代前期）に大集落があった場所で、これまでに石器や土器がたくさん見つかっています。こうした貴重な遺跡があったことを将来に伝えていくため、公園の敷地内には、その当時の暮らしを、やさしく、おもしろく紹介する「展示館」を設けています。館内では、映像やレプリカの展示を通して、かつて人々がどんな暮らしをしていたのかなどを楽しみながら学ぶことができます。
