From the summit, you can see the Osaka Plain and Osaka Bay. In autumn, the area around the summit is covered with golden ears of Japanese pampas grass, and the sight of them swaying in the breeze is breathtakingly beautiful. The Diamond Trail, which runs along the ridge of the Kongo-Katsuragi mountain range, including Mt. Iwawaki, is visited by many climbers. In the surrounding area, there are temples and sutra mounds that are part of the cultural assets of the Japan Heritage Site "Katsuragi Shugen," making it a place where you can experience nature and history.

Mount Iwawaki is an 897m-high mountain facing Mount Kongo across the Kimi Pass, and from its summit you can see the Osaka Plain and Osaka Bay. In autumn, the area near the summit is covered with golden ears of Japanese pampas grass, and the sight of them swaying in the breeze is breathtaking. In addition, the Diamond Trail (45km long), a long-distance nature trail that traverses the ridge of the Kongo-Katsuragi mountain range, including Mount Iwawaki, overlaps with the Katsuragi Shugen path established by En no Gyoja, and along the way you will find training grounds and sacred sutra mounds, allowing you to experience nature and history. *Katsuragi Shugen has been designated a Japan Heritage Site.
