Tour of Osaka's oldest sake brewery, Naniwa Shuzo, a registered tangible cultural property, and its main house
Founded in the Kyoho era of the Edo period (1716), this is the oldest sake brewery in Osaka Prefecture and has been making sake for over 300 years. No matter how mechanized and computerized the age may be, they have remained committed to handcrafting sake and have continued to make sake with care, which has led to them winning the gold medal five times at the National New Sake Tasting Competition. The brewery is a wooden building that is over 200 years old, and both the brewery and the main house are designated as registered tangible cultural properties by the country.
