Katashimo Winery Tour of Katashimo Winery, a 110-year-old winery in Osaka
The oldest existing winery in western Japan
Continuing since the Taisho era, this is the oldest winery still standing in western Japan. In addition to wine, they also produce Japanese brandy made from grape pomace, with their "Budouka 35%" becoming the first Japanese distilled spirit to win a gold medal at the "Vinali International Wine Competition 2024." They offer a wide range of tours that include visits to charming old houses, vineyards, and a storage facility that is a registered tangible cultural property, as well as wine tasting.
