Basic information

In 1958 (Showa 33), Momofuku Ando, founder of Nissin Food Products, created the world's first instant ramen, "Chicken Ramen," after extensive research using everyday tools in a shed he built in the backyard of his home in Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture. He then realized that the key to spreading it around the world was to overcome the barriers of eating habits, and so he invented "Cup Noodles," bringing together a variety of wisdom and ideas. Instant ramen, which originated in Japan, was reborn as a global food. The Cup Noodles Museum conveys the importance of invention and discovery through the history of instant ramen, which became a new food culture.

1. Chicken Ramen Factory (fee required, reservation required, age restrictions apply)
[Price] Elementary school students: 600 yen / Middle school students and above: 1,200 yen
[Contents] A workshop where you can make your own Chicken Ramen. You can have fun while experiencing the process of kneading, rolling, steaming, seasoning, and drying using the flash oil drying method.
② My Cup Noodle Factory (paid, no reservation required, numbered tickets distributed)
[Price] 500 yen per meal
[Contents] A workshop where you can create your own original Cup Noodles. In the cup you design, you can choose your favorite soup from four types and four toppings from 12 types.
*There are also various other exhibits where you can learn about instant ramen and its founder, Momofuku Ando.
