■Introduction to Prefectural Forest Hoshida Park
・Star Swing: One of the largest pedestrian suspension bridges in Japan, with a length of 280m and a maximum height of 50m above ground.
・Climbing wall: A full-scale facility with three walls (vertical wall, front wall, and both left and right side walls) and a height of 16.5m. It can be used by two or more people, including those who have attended a training course. There is also a beginner's experience zone.
・Forest Railway-style Footbridge: A wooden footbridge with a total length of approximately 200m. You can take a nature walk while looking down at the riverbed, which is 10m above ground level.
Piton Hut: This is an administrative building with information, merchandise, rest areas, exhibitions, a multipurpose hall, etc. Piton is French for "piton," a mountaineering tool (piton is German).
・Observation spot: This is a pleasant observation spot where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Star Swing, Mt. Hiei, the Hokusetsu Mountain Range, and even downtown Kyoto.
