Takatsuki Jazz Street and Tomita Jazz Street
Takatsuki Jazz Street was launched in 1999 with the aim of making Takatsuki a fun town filled with music. It is held for two days every year during Golden Week, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023. It is one of Japan's largest handmade music events, with admission to all venues free.
Basic information
ジャズストリートの最大の特徴は、すべての会場が入場無料、すべてをボランティアで企画・運営していることです。 学生から高齢者まで、商店主・会社員・主婦など様々な人たちが集まります。ボランティア による実行委員会で、イベントの発案に始まり、資金集め・ミュージシャンへの出演交渉など多くの業務を行うほか、開催当日は会場の運営や交通 整理、Tシャツの販売・ECOブースでのゴミの分別までボランティアがやっています。
