Nozaki visit
Nozaki Mairi, held every year from May 1st to 8th, is an event that has been held for over 300 years since the Edo (Genroku) period, and is properly called Muenkyo Hoyo. In the past, it was a major tourist event, with many people travelling by boat from Osaka city to visit Nozaki Kannon Jigenji Temple. In the Kamigata Rakugo story "Nozaki Mairi," the introduction introduces the three Kansai Mairi, "Okera Mairi" in Gion, Kyoto, "Konpira Mairi" in Sanuki, and "Nozaki Mairi" in Osaka.
Basic information
近松門左衛門の｢女殺し油地獄｣や近松半二の｢新版歌祭文｣などの古典芸能のほか、昭和初期のヒット曲「野崎小唄」にも登場します。普段は本堂内に安置されている「十一面観音立像」（大東市指定文化財）が、期間中は御簾を上げて直接お参りすることができます。JR野崎駅からお寺までの参道両側に200軒以上の露店が並び、全国各地からの多くの参詣者で賑わいます。(出店期間は大東市ホームページに掲載予定)

Shishikutsuji Temple: Special Exhibition of the National Treasure Wooden Seated Yakushi Nyorai Statue
KawachiIn conjunction with the Osaka Destination Campaign After Campaign to be held from April to June 2026, the National Treasure Seated Yakushi Nyorai statue will be open to the public for two days without prior reservations.

Osaka National Treasure Three Kannon Temples Pilgrimage (only on April 17th and 18th, 2026)
KawachiMinamikawachi is one of the areas in Japan with the largest concentration of national treasures, and is home to three temples, Katsuragi-ji Temple, Domyo-ji Temple, and Kanshin-ji Temple, which enshrines the national treasure Kannon Bodhisattva as their principal image.
In 2026, in addition to the usual date of April 18th, the principal images of all three temples will be opened to the public on the day before, April 17th, and this will mark the creation of the "Osaka National Treasure Three Kannon Pilgrimage."
By touring the three temples, you will be able to experience the rich history and culture of Minami Kawachi. -
