The taste of fear!? Making crazy sugar candy
This is a crazy experience of making konpeitō, which is made by sprinkling takoyaki flavour on top of pickled ginger.
Basic information
★DC Special★ Make your own Osaka flavor pickled ginger with your favorite two colors and your favorite flavor, and enjoy it when you get back to your home or hotel.
This is a special secret menu item at Osaka DC, where you then sprinkle Takoyaki Shaka Shaka flavor on top to complete the dish.
■Experience content
After watching a DVD explaining the manufacturing process and historical culture of konpeito, participants will try their hand at making konpeito in a 30cm-diameter mini pot. In addition to the regular menu, we'll also offer a special Osaka DC secret menu item: pickled ginger flavor. For the first type, choose your favorite color and pickled ginger flavor. For the second type, choose your favorite color and flavor from the remaining half of the first type. After tasting our caramel-yaki and original konpeito, you'll have your konpeito wrapped and take home with you a certificate of completion. To accommodate allergies, once you return home or to your hotel, you can sprinkle some takoyaki shake-shaka flavor onto the bag to create your own amazing Osaka-flavored konpeito! The color and flavor are up to you! Enjoy at your own risk.

| remarks | ・Takoyaki powder contains wheat, soybeans, chicken, apples, and seafood. Also, the sea lettuce is harvested using a method that mixes it with shrimp and crab. For this reason, the experience of making takoyaki flavor is something you can take home and complete. |

Osaka National Treasure Three Kannon Temples Pilgrimage (only on April 17th and 18th, 2026)
KawachiMinamikawachi is one of the areas in Japan with the largest concentration of national treasures, and is home to three temples, Katsuragi-ji Temple, Domyo-ji Temple, and Kanshin-ji Temple, which enshrines the national treasure Kannon Bodhisattva as their principal image.
In 2026, in addition to the usual date of April 18th, the principal images of all three temples will be opened to the public on the day before, April 17th, and this will mark the creation of the "Osaka National Treasure Three Kannon Pilgrimage."
By touring the three temples, you will be able to experience the rich history and culture of Minami Kawachi. -
