The museum houses a valuable collection of calligraphy and tea ceremony-related items, including works by the Heian period calligraphers Ono no Michikaze and Fujiwara no Yukinari (both national treasures), as well as a painting of Sen no Rikyu at the age of 62 (Important Cultural Property).

QuanzhouA celadon phoenix-eared vase with the inscription "Mansei" will be on special display. It is believed to have been fired at the Longquan kiln in Zhejiang Province during the Southern Song dynasty and imported, and the "Kasen Utaawase" (Poetry Contest), a record of thirty works selected by Fujiwara no Kinto, is also on display.
