Experiences, Events, and Spots
Kubo Osamu Paper-Cutting Museum
Through the works of paper cutting artist Kubo Osamu, who incorporates his unique techniques into traditional Japanese tannin paper, visitors can experience the vibrant world of Kubo Osamu, including the scenery and ingredients of Japan's four seasons. This is an experiential facility where you can enjoy both a museum where you can "view" paper cuttings and a workshop where you can "make" paper cuttings.
Basic information
The second floor is an art museum where Kubo Osamu's works are on display, with the 10-meter-long "Seventy-two Seasons Drawn in Paper Cutting" being a spectacular piece. On the first floor, there is a "Workshop & Cafe" where you can try your hand at paper cutting using sketches by paper cutting artist Kubo Osamu. There are three options available: "Free Paper Cutting Experience," "Introductory Workshop," and "Kubo Osamu Workshop," so please choose the one that best suits your needs.
