Japanese sweets making experience at Konda Hachimangu Shrine
After being guided by a Shinto priest through Konda Hachimangu Shrine, said to be the oldest in Japan, you will receive instruction from Akira Matsuda, a four-time winner of a Japanese sweets competition on a TV program, and experience making your own original Nerikiri Japanese sweets. We hope you will enjoy making colorful, soul-soothing Japanese sweets! You can enjoy infinite variations and beautiful gradations by changing the colors.

Wagashi champion Akira Matsuda is an artisan who makes Japanese sweets every day with the thought, "So sweet, so happy!" He makes the world a happier place with Japanese sweets. He has appeared in many media outlets, and achieved an unprecedented four wins in the Japanese sweets competition on TV Champion. He has also attracted attention for his involvement in "Osaka Ee Yokan," a new Osaka souvenir for the World Expo.
