You will experience harvesting edamame at Asai Farm, which produces the mystical "Yao edamame" that can almost only be tasted locally. Why are Yao edamame so delicious?! We'll reveal the secret! Afterwards, you'll enjoy a BBQ filled with edamame, including grilled edamame and edamame rice, on the wooden deck terrace in the courtyard of Chakichian, the Hagiwara family residence, a nationally registered tangible cultural property. As a souvenir, you'll receive approximately 300 grams of the edamame you harvested and an edamame recipe directly taught to you by the farmer!

This Western-style leisure spot opened in 1989 with the concept of creating a heart-to-heart connection between people, nature, and animals. Many animals live here, including a corner where you can try horseback riding, a grazing area where you can interact with sheep, goats, ponies, mini pigs, and ducks, and a corner where you can interact with small animals like rabbits. There are plenty of activities that children will enjoy, such as fishing and cow milking. The park also has barbecues, natural hot springs, and log cabins and cottages where you can stay overnight, making it a fun place for the whole family to spend the day.

The agricultural park, Savor Farm, will reopen on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The newly renovated agricultural park features a variety of new facilities that make it even easier to "see, pick, and taste." The park also offers seasonal harvesting experiences.

The Diamond Trail, which runs along the ridge of the Kongo-Katsuragi mountain range, including Mt. Iwawaki, is visited by many climbers. In the surrounding area, there are temples and sutra mounds that are part of the cultural assets of the Japan Heritage Site "Katsuragi Shugen," making it a place where you can experience nature and history.

Located in Iwawaki Forest, a forest park at the foot of Mt. Iwawaki, Shikisaikan is a rest facility that can be enjoyed by a variety of visitors, including hikers and those strolling through Iwawaki Forest. Events such as the Forest Cafe, summer vacation free crafts, and flying squirrel watching are also held regularly. From the terrace, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Yamato Katsuragi, Mt. Nijo, and Mt. Ikoma.

A purple sea of clouds fills the wisteria garden on the Kumano Highway
The Kajimoto family garden is home to 40,000 clusters of Noda wisteria, over 40 years old. From the observation deck, you can enjoy the view of the wisteria, which resembles a sea of purple clouds.

You can visit the rose garden of David Austin Roses, which has overwhelming support from rose lovers all over the world. Sennan City is the only directly managed garden of the company outside of its home country of the UK. The sight of over 3,000 roses from David Austin's rose collection blooming together is truly impressive. A rose festival is held in the spring when they are all in full bloom.
